Salary
- Hourly Rate: $36.65 - $50.01 + 25% Casual Loading RN1 (Pro Rata)
Responsibilities
- Ensure a sterile environment in the operating theatre.
- Provide necessary instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and other healthcare professionals during operations.
- Participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting.
- Assess individual patient/client needs and coordinate appropriate service delivery.
- Undertake training to maintain required competency of skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in Perioperative scrub/scout nursing.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a Perioperative setting.
- Possess clinical skills relevant to scrub/scout nursing.
- Effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
