ASO4 – Salary Range ($76,561 - $80,256 p.a.)
Responsibilities
Providing a high level of customer service and accurate and timely administrative services to members and stakeholders.
Managing claims for Income Protection payments, Total and Permanent Disablement, Terminal Illness, and assessing the release of insurance benefits in the event of a Member passing away.
Handling Member’s enquiries via phone and email, supporting them in their most vulnerable moment in life.
Requirements
Knowledge of insurance claims and/or insurance underwriting administration.
Proven experience in handling difficult situations in a calm, positive and objective manner.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to develop and implement solutions.
Effective communication and liaison with a diverse range of people at various levels (both orally and in writing) including claimants, medical and legal practitioners.
Knowledge of superannuation and the schemes offered by Superannuation funds.
Proven ability to manage an active and moving portfolio and manage and maintain regular member contact.

The Claims Management Officer Temporary Pool will remain active for 12 months and you can apply at any time during this period.

Recommended applicants are subject to satisfactory criminal history check in accordance with the DTF Pre-Employment Screening Policy and Procedure and every three years thereafter.
Provides clinical and case management support to clients of the Prison Mental Health Service.
Liaises with all relevant clinical and non-clinical stakeholders within the correctional environment.
Coordinates a holistic approach to recovery and wellbeing.
May be required to provide prison mental health services to correctional centres on weekends.
Requirements
Competent clinical skills in adult mental health including assessment and treatment of acute mental health problems.
Demonstrates respect for others, remaining flexible, fair and willing to compromise when dealing with team members.
Ability to build rapport with customers and demonstrate empathy, patience and respect.
Able to work with increasing independence and consistently meet deadlines using strong organisational and caseload management skills.
Understands and adheres to quality systems and processes and proactively identifies areas for improvement.
Demonstrates direction and vision with self-development, showing initiative in learning and a willingness to share information with others.
Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
