Responsibilities
- Support people with disability living and working in flood and bushfire prone areas prepare for natural disasters.
- Assist in the Disability Emergency Preparedness Project to help people living with disability in Tasmania be ready for storms, floods, bushfires, and other emergencies.
Requirements
- Satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment) is required and must remain current during employment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the lived experiences of people with disability (desirable).
- Disability sector related qualifications and experience (desirable).
- Experience in delivering activities relating to community development, community resilience, and/or emergency management (desirable).
Benefits
- Fixed-term, casual employment for a period of 12 months.
