Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver high quality person-centered nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Follow the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD).
- Work in a dynamic Emergency Unit handling over 160 presentations daily.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in emergency, critical care or relevant acute hospital setting.
- Ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to identify key messages and concerns.
- Knowledge of person-centered care, evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
- Understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
- Availability to participate in a 24 hour/seven-day rotating roster including public holidays.
