Responsibilities
- Undertake clinical duties in the Emergency Department and/or GP clinics at each hospital, as well as being rostered on call as required.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team environment with a combination of procedural and non-procedural District Medical Officers that are ACRRM or RACGP trained, Senior Medical Practitioners, and Nurse Practitioners.
- Demonstrate and maintain appropriate Emergency Department skills and evidence of continued professional development.
Requirements
- AHPRA registration without limitations and fellowship of (ACRRM) or (RACGP).
- Post graduate qualification in Anaesthetics (JCCA) and equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstration and record of appropriate Emergency Department skill maintenance in the last triennium of completion of at least 1 of the following: ACLS (or equivalent), APLS (or equivalent), EMST (or equivalent), GCCA (or equivalent).
- Applicants who are in their penultimate year of either RACGP or ACRRM training are encouraged to apply if their examination requirements have been passed and met.
