Responsibilities
Assist with the provision of quality, safe person and family centred care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
Work may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse (EN).
Requirements
Beginning knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to seek assistance to appropriately manage patient-centred care requirements under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
Ability to use clinical information systems relevant to area of practice.
Supports and respects the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to achieve common goals.
Ability to resolve issues using a problem-solving framework.
Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.

Responsibilities
Provide dental care for enrolled children in Dental Therapy Centres.
Maintain patient records and central management records in accordance with DHS instructions.
Supervise and give guidance to Dental Assistants and student Dental Assistants.
Provide information and presentations on oral health to individuals, schools, community groups and health professionals.
Implement preventive programs in community groups.
Requirements
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
Eligibility for registration by the Dental Board of Australia as Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist.

Process and calculate salary and allowance payments and other employee entitlements to a specified client group, inputting data into a computerised payroll system.
Provide accurate and timely information to clients when requested ensuring a clear understanding of entitlements and operating procedures.
Maintain the integrity of personnel records ensuring accuracy of all data recorded and maintaining confidentiality.
Contribute to the operations of a team of Payroll staff to ensure a high quality payroll service is provided to clients.
Contribute to a work environment of positive teamwork and quality customer focussed service delivery.
Engage in continuous learning and development to progress into more senior payroll roles.
Requirements
Previous experience in a role requiring accurate numeracy skills e.g. payroll, finance, banking.
Aptitude to read and understand procedures, employment legislation.
High level of customer focus and previous experience providing customer service.
Personal attributes to contribute positively and effectively within a team environment.
Organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Demonstrated high level of commitment to the workplace e.g. attendance.
Good level of oral communication to enable information to be accurately relayed to clients and the ability to prepare clear written correspondence adhering to templates.
Willingness and potential to further develop career in payroll services.
Well-developed computer literacy.
An ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and respectful.
