Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for patients.
Use leadership, advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the practice setting.
Requirements
Eligibility for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated advanced nursing practice within the Emergency Department.
Demonstrated advanced skills in planning, coordination and decision making, within the Emergency Department.
Demonstrated well-developed team leadership and mentorship skills.
Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates incorporation of quality and risk management within practice.

Deliver personalised care to people living in country South Australia to achieve better cardiovascular health outcomes.
Support patients experiencing unexpected deterioration of a medical condition to avoid hospitalisation.
Assist with early diagnosis and management of chronic conditions.
Facilitate self-management of chronic conditions through supported virtual home monitoring.
Provide Point of Care Testing (POCT) pathology across regional hospitals and virtual patient monitoring platforms.
Assist with providing remote health monitoring services integrated into the clinical setting through education, training, and technical support.
Participate in the after-hours on-call technical support roster.
Contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the services provided by the unit.
Some travel may be required.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science or an equivalent qualification.
Broad experience in performing routine diagnostic tests.
Clinical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Cardiology, Diabetes, Stroke, Renal or Respiratory.
Proficient with computerised healthcare information systems.
Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills with all levels of stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to show empathy when interacting with patients.
Demonstrate a commitment to providing client and family-centred care.
Appointment subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
