Responsibilities
- Work with children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in crisis to ensure children are safe and protected from harm.
- Provide direct support to Child Protection Workers by collecting, recording and analysing client information.
- Provide supervision and support to families, children and young people about accessing Department and community resources.
- Contribute to the effective management of the District Offices by providing a high level of customer service in relation to administrative matters.
- Act as the first point of contact for members of the community accessing the Child Protection and Family Support services.
- Undertake homes and community visits to provide culturally appropriate support and assistance to Parents and Carers.
- Provide a personal culturally appropriate parenting skill service to assist in the growth and development of families.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area.
- All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
