Responsibilities
Assisting residents with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence management.
Helping with feeding, maintaining mobility through transferring and lifting (including using mechanical aids), and supporting daily activities.
Performing bed making, cleaning equipment, aids, and utensils, and distributing clean laundry and personal attire.
Providing input into resident assessments, recording general observations, identifying diversional therapy needs, and completing routine documentation as per established policies.
Requirements
Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
Previous experience in direct care services, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled individuals.
Strong ability to work effectively within a team, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Proven ability to meet deadlines, use initiative, and work autonomously with limited direction.
Demonstrated judgment in day-to-day tasks and a commitment to customer service principles.
Proficiency in using computer packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of safe working conditions, commitment to customer service, and knowledge of Risk Management standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare legislation.
