Salary
$29.56 - $31.80 per hour + 25% loading - ASO2 - Casual up to 31 May 2025
Responsibilities
Provide relief support in various administrative positions as part of a casual administrative relief pool.
Cover ad hoc departmental roster requirements including 24/7 availability to facilitate staffing needs as required.
Manage variable workloads and competing priorities within a changing work environment.
Requirements
Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to provide effective and efficient customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to deal with highly confidential information.
Availability to work various rostered shifts over 7 days with shifts covering a 24-hour period.
Satisfactory Criminal History Check required.
DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.

Provide administrative functions and confidential administrative support for the centre including, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, photocopying, filing activities and taking minutes at various meetings
Provide support to other staff on administrative issues and assist with the preparation of memorandums, reports and correspondence
Provide support and assistance in the use and maintenance of office communication and technology including photocopiers, printers and computers
Answer general enquiries at reception and direct visitors as required, screen telephone calls and redirect enquiries to appropriate areas of the office and Agency
Manage mail and mail register
Undertake procurement activities to ensure centre resources are adequate including stationery and miscellaneous office supplies
Process human resources paperwork including the processing and record keeping of timesheets, leave forms and payroll documentation
Perform opening and closing procedure
Conduct banking as required
Maintain filing and recording system ensuring the confidentiality of all documentation handled
Ensure the security of files and appropriate access to the files by relevant staff and approved external agencies
Ensure records and data for the Integrated Offender Management system (IOMs) are accurate and current
Undertake archiving of files and records in accordance with legislative requirements

This will be a continuous applicant pool (for 12 months), and we have multiple short term backfill opportunities over the next 12 months
Undertake accurate computer-based processing and data entry using QCAT's file management systems and recording programs.
Prepare and update documents using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Effectively and efficiently manage the needs of clients and the general public by using appropriate questioning, problem solving, negotiation and conflict management skills.
Prioritise tasks in a fast paced and high-volume environment to ensure customer service standards and timeframes are met, and to ensure effective hearing support services are provided.
Provide accurate information to registry staff and Tribunal members in a professional and friendly manner.
Provide general administrative tasks as required by Team Leaders and/or Managers to support the delivery of services within QCAT.
Requirements
Intermediate skill in computer applications (Microsoft Office suite) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
